Electronically based with the addition of piano, strings, voice, acoustic and electric guitar. The album is a mix of western and eastern influences. The vocals are in English, French and Amharic (one of the main languages from Ethiopia). From ambient chill to hard driving trance, Lu utilizes beats from Bhangra to techno. The overall feeling of the CD is quite lush with a dash of spice.

A classically trained pianist, Lu spent his youth on Mercer Island, a suburb of Seattle, WA. After years of traveling the globe as a model, he found himself living in Los Angeles only to hit rock bottom, and in October 1994 he acquired HIV. After a failed suicide attempt Lu returned to Seattle, got a flat and embraced stability. In 2001 he returned to Cornish College of the Arts to finish a Bachelor's in Music Composition. He has studied with world-renowned composers and performers Bern Herbolsheimer, John Burrow, Peter Mack, Laura Kaminsky, Jarrad Powell, Janice Giteck and Amy Rubin. Entering his eleventh year of being HIV positive, Lu shows no signs of surrender. One of his goals is to be a role model to others with HIV - proving that diagnosis does not equal death sentence.
