Every year the well of musical ideas deepens with stylistic impressions of the past. This growing range of sound allows spontaneous music makers an ever broadening palette of color and texture. At the same time this increase of sound sharpens the focus of genre studies and disciplined performance.
In an effort to create a musical thought/experience that highlights this evolving myriad of forms, active in real time, Denney Goodhew has created a series of pieces in varying styles, that interwoven with free improvisations, surf a hybrid of past and present.
